IPS - Interactive Projection System

IWB - Interactive Whiteboard

Types of Interactive Whiteboards installed in ACSD:
- Epson Brightlink 475wi (latest version, if your IWB was installed after September 2012, you probably have this model).
- Epson Brightlink 455wi (previous version)
- SMART Board (we have a wide-array of SMART Boards throughout the district).
- eBeam

Web Browser - a software application used to locate, retrieve, and display contedn on the World Wide Web, including web pages, images, video, and other files.

Web Browsers available (ACSD) - Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, and Apple Safari (MAC).

.doc - Microsoft Word
.ppt - Microsoft PowerPoint
.pps - PowerPoint Show
.xls - Microsoft Excel
.pub - Microsoft Publisher
.pdf - PDF Document
.txt - Plain text file
.wpd - WordPerfect Document

Picture Files:

.jpeg - JPEG Image (best quality)
.png - Portable Network Graphics
.gif - GIF (Graphics Interchange Format) Image
.psd - Photoshop Document

Video Files:

.flv - Flash video
.wmv - Windows Media Video
.avi - Audio Video Interleave
.mpg - MPEG-1 Video
.mov - QuickTime movie
.mp4 - MPEG-4 Video File

Audio Files:

.mp3 - MP3 Audio Files
.wav - Waveform Audio Format
.wma - Windows Media Audio

*Important Note: You won't be able to open files in a program that does not support a specific file type. For example, you will not be able to open a .pdf or .ppt file through the "Open" option in the file menu of Microsoft Word (Microsoft Word will only recognize Microsoft Word files). When you want to open a file, it will benefit you in the long run if you open the file through your personal H:/
